　80年代より様々なフィールドで活動を続けている高橋鮎生さんと、太田裕美さんのコラボレーション作。タブラの音がエキゾチックな雰囲気を醸し出す民族音楽的な1曲目、フリーキーなギターと電子オルガンが飛び交う高揚感を感じさせる2曲目、日本の伝統歌に大胆なアレンジを施した3曲目、アラブ音楽とテクノが融合した5曲目、レゲエのリズムに様々なサンプリング音が耳に飛び込んでくるまさに曲名どおりの脈打つ鼓動を思わせる7曲目、スコットランドのフォークソングの9曲目など、ジャンルを超えた多種多様な曲が収録されています。それぞれの曲の完成度の高さには驚かされるとともに、静謐とは異なる動的なエネルギーをこの作品に感じました。

　太田裕美さんの心に響く優しげで美しい声と、高橋鮎生さんのジャンルに縛られることのない幅広い優れた才能を堪能させてもらいました。
